Business Server Software

Orcon delivers the included software features below, plus any optional features our customers may want from the following list.

Included Features

• Application Software - Load Customer Application CDs: Where software CDs are supplied by the customer, Orcon technicians will load these CDs onto the customer's server, making the software available for the customer to install, configure and test on a remote basis.

Optional Features

• Operating System - Windows Server Licenses: Either the Standard or Enterprise edition is provided on a monthly subscription basis which includes access to all future software upgrades, service packs, revisions and security patches.
• Operating System - CentOS LINUX: CentOS Linux is deployed to the customer Server.
• Operating System - Customer Supplied OS License: Orcon will install the OS from media sent to Orcon by our customer, which will include full step-by-step installation instructions. Media will include customer's selected OS and a service for the customer to be able to gain remote access to the server once it is made live, enabling our customer to customise the OS to their specific requirements.
• Operating System - Patch Management Service: For detail on OS patch Management refer to Zealous! Support Premium Plan.
• Application Software - HMC Server License: The Hosting Management Console is an Orcon developed and supported application providing Web and mail server management tools enabling customer to on-sell email and web hosting services to customers. All support is provided by Zealous! Support.
• Application Software - Microsoft Licenses: A range of Microsoft products are available on a monthly subscription basis. Available applications include:
  • SQL Server

  • Sharepoint Portal Serve
  • Other Microsoft liscences are available on request
• Application Software - Email server Mdaemon: Orcon deploys Email server with MDaemon-Pro and security plus for MDaemon. Available features include:
  • SMTP, POP, DomainPOP, MultiPOP

  • Proactive AntiVirus, Spam, Phishing, and Spyware Protection
  • Inline AntiVirus Scanning*

Customer managed features

• Application Software - Other Licenses: Our customers are in total control of leased Orcon servers and are therefore free to deploy any software applications, providing there is no breach of the Orcon/iSERVE Server Hosting acceptable usage policies (AUP) detailed here: http://www.orcon.net.nz/about/Terms_and_conditions
