Call Minder

Call minder is like having an answering machine, but without the pesky blinking machine in the hallway. Who needs the machine when you can check your messages over the phone!

Call Waiting

Call waiting enables you to be notified of an incoming call via a series of beeps when you’re on the line to someone else.

Caller ID

Ever had one of those calls where you just wish you knew who was calling before you picked up the phone? Well that’s what Caller ID is for! With caller ID the number of the person who is calling you is displayed on your caller ID display, allowing you to check it before you answer it. Most modern cordless phones come with a display that will display caller IDs. Otherwise you are able to purchase them separately. No more answering pesky calls from your ex or mother-in-law!

Co-Location

Co-location in Orcon's Datacentre offers the ultimate in reliability, performance, redundancy and security for your information. It basically enables you to store your server or servers in a safe and secure location, protected from Godzilla, nuclear attack and all manner of natural disasters. Well, it’s probably your safest bet anyway, we haven’t yet tested it for Godzilla or nuclear resistance.

Connection Speed

This is the rate at which data is transferred to and from the Internet. This is generally measured in Megabits per second, or Mbps. Dial-up users may measure their speed in Kilobits per second, or Kbps. If you are on Orcon+ broadband the theoretical maximum is 24Mbps download and 1Mbps upload. Your actual speed depends on such factors as the distance you are from the unbundled telephone exchange and the quality of wiring to and within your home. On regular broadband it is 7.6Mbs download and 768kps upload.
