FAQ: What is interleaving?

Interleaving is basically a way to arrange data to protect against burst errors, which happen rarely but can disrupt data transmission when they do occur. The downside to having interleaving enabled is that it increases latency (i.e. it slows down the connection). For more information on interleaving see Wikipedia.
