The Orcon Helpdesk will do their best to help you get connected to the internet, and help you with any internet connection related problems.
From time to time Orcon customers call us expecting us to help fix everything from a broken CD drive to the funny noise coming from their washing machine. This list is intended to clarify exactly what it is that we do and do not support.
orcon homeline and/or tolls
- We support Orcon customers' use of our homeline and/or tolls product.
Internet connection (broadband or dial-up)
- Establishing and maintaining the connection from the exchange to your house/premises.
- Connection speed issues.
- Identifying anti-virus and firewall issues and, if you decide to, assisting you to disable the programme to enable the connection.
Modems
- We support getting you online with the modems we provide and support, and we will attempt to help set up and troubleshoot all modems.
- Please note that we support wireless modem connections via the ethernet cable only. We do not support your wireless LAN (local area network) set up.
mobile
- Devices we supply (set up of MMS, SMS, data sticks)
- Network faults for any device using and Orcon SIM that is approved for us on our network
Webmail
- We support Orcon customers' use of our webmail product.
