FAQ: Upgrade to Hosted Exchange 2007

 

  1. Open up your Control Panel and double click on "Mail"
  2. Open up your Control Panel and double click on Mail
  3. Click Show profiles
  4. Click Show profiles
  5. Select "Prompt for a profile to be used" and click Add
  6. Select Prompt for a profile to be used and click Add
  7. Make up a name for your new profile
  8. Make up a name for your new profile
  9. If on Outlook 2007 enter in your name and email address then click "Next" and everything else will be completed for you
  10. If on Outlook 2003 you will need to do this manually, please follow the steps below
  11. Select Microsoft Exchange Server enter your name and email address and click Next
  12. Select Microsoft Exchange Server enter your name and email address and click Next
  13. In the Microsoft Exchange Server put in exmbx01.hosted.orcon.net.nz. In the User Name field put your new email address. In general, you should ticked Use cached Exchange Mode. Once you have done this click More Settings.
  14. Import From File
  15. Click the Connection tab then tick Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP then click Exchange Proxy Settings
  16. Connect to exchange
  17. Fill out the Exchange Proxy settings window as shown below then click OK
  18. Import Persoanl Folders
  19. From here click make sure that "Microsoft Exchange Server" is highlighted and then click "Set as Default". Once "Microsoft Exchange Server is set as default click 'Finish'
