FAQ: Migrating to Hosted Exchange - Step 2: Synchronizing with Exchange Server

Follow these steps using your account information

  1. Go to the Start Menu > Control Panels > Mail
  2. Control Panel Mail
  3. Click on Email Accounts
  4. Email Accounts
  5. Click on Add. If you have another Exchange account you will need to remove this first.
  6. Add Email Account
  7. Click on View or change existing e-mail accounts then click Next
  8. Click on View or change e-mail
  9. Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click Next
  10. Click Microsoft Exchange Server
  11. In the Microsoft Exchange Server put in exmbx01.hosted.orcon.net.nz. In the User Name field put your new email address. In general, you should ticked Use cached Exchange Mode. Once you have done this click More Settings.
  12. Import From File
  13. Click the Connection tab then tick Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP then click Exchange Proxy Settings
  14. Import From File
  15. Fill out the Exchange Proxy settings window as shown below then click OK
  16. Import Persoanl Folders
  17. From here click make sure that "Microsoft Exchange Server" is highlighted and then click "Set as Default". Once "Mircosoft Exchange Server is set as default click 'Finish'
  18. Import Personal Folders Finish
