If you live on one of the many rural properties in New Zealand that simply can't access broadband internet through your phone line, here's some great news. Orcon Rural Broadband is now available.
It's wireless technology that connects you to the internet using a small antenna, rather than your phone line. This means you can finally get high-speed broadband no matter what condition your phone is in.

Note: Some of you may have received a brochure from us entitled "Welcome to Orcon Rural" setting out details about the Rural Broadband Service. In that brochure there was some information about adding more speed to your plan for an additional amount each month. Unfortunately, due to problems with a supplier, we are unable to offer this option as specified to you. The maximum upload speed we are able to provide is 340Kbps, not 512Kbps as specified in the brochure. We apologise for any inconvenience which this may cause you.

- If you go over your cap you are charged at $5 per 1GB
Rural Broadband Installation Cost
We'll install Orcon Rural Broadband for just $449. That includes a technician coming to your property, the installation of the antenna, plus a special modem to get you connected.
A $499 disconnection fee applies if you cancel your Orcon Rural Broadband connection within 24 months.
If you put your direct dial toll calling with Orcon we will give you a $5 per month discount on your rural broadband plan.
