Full name: Ben Jurisich

Instrument playing on The Passenger: Electric guitar
Why did you enter the audition?: To meet the man who invented stage diving and win some prizes.
How long / many times did you practise the song?: Not long, it's pretty straight forward. Maybe ran through it 4-5 times to get some ideas and work out when to start playing behind my head.
How many takes did you do?: 3 or 4
What was the best part of the audition?: Cranking into the distortion and ripping it up behind the head styles whilst wearing a Mexican wrestlers mask.
How many Iggy Pop records do you own / songs do you know?: I own a greatest hits CD and know all the songs on it. About 12.
What was it like playing with Iggy via the Internet?: It was quite surreal. I found it hard to get my head around the fact he was really there and that it was all really happening. The technology used was so advanced it made it hard to take the scenario seriously. Like, if Iggy had been there in the room in person I probably would have been a hell of a lot more nervous!
What was the highlight of the day recording with Iggy?: Iggy telling me he was happy with my first take. It doesn't get much better than that.
What does this opportunity mean to you?: It's hard to say at this stage. I guess it depends on how well the ad is received and how much airtime I get on the ad. But if nothing comes of it I can still say I got to record lead guitar for Iggy Pop.
