Loud Shirt Day at Orcon

Monday September 25, 2006 ~ Posted by: Duncan Blair

Friday the 22nd of September was 'Loud Shirt Day', a fun event to support The Hearing House. The Hearing House is an independently funded charity that offers therapy to enable deaf children in the Northern region with a cochlear implant or hearing aids to speak clearly and naturally like their hearing peers.

At Orcon we had made it an internal competition, and being the fiercely competitive people that we are, the loudest of the loud shirts were on display. Taking home the prize for loudest shirt at Orcon was Beren Patterson, our Technical Operations Manager who wore a stunning orange and pink blouse (see photo below). The runners up were Sally Briggs, Human Resources Manager, and Denis Stanton, Software Developer.

The winning shirt is now up for grabs on Trade Me, with proceeds from the auction also being donated to The Hearing House. Check out the auction now.
