What can LLU do for you?

We have had an overwhelming response to our Orcon+ (LLU) product launch, with everyone here at Orcon HQ working overtime to make sure that we get all the customers up and running as soon as possible. As a result of the massive demand the lead times for getting you connected are currently longer than we would like, we are ramping up capacity to ensure that we bring this down. In the mean time we would like to share a real life example of a customer that has moved onto the new Orcon+ network (so you can see that it is worth the wait!).

Orcon launches the first unbundled service in New Zealand!

Yep, we've done it - our shiny new, Next Generation ADSL2+ network that we have been trialling for the past few months is now open for people in five Auckland suburbs to sign up for as of today. It means we can finally give you all the cool stuff that we've wanted to for some time now, like faster broadband.

Welcome to 2008, the year of Local Loop Unbundling

We may only be a couple of weeks into the New Year, but the team here are hard at work preparing the unbundled Orcon network for release to the public. In fact, as you were lying in bed on the first of January trying to piece together the foggy fragments of the previous night our network engineers were busy doing what engineers do: Engineering networks. And so it was that last week we began connecting the first Orcon customers onto the Orcon network, thereby severing their ties with Telecom.

Orcon named ISP of the Year (again!)

Everybody here at Orcon is buzzing today (even those of us who partied into the early hours of the morning) after we took out the 'ISP of the Year' award at last nights TUANZ Innovation Awards. This is the second year in a row that we have won the award, and we see it as great recognition that we are doing the right things.
