Clubnet

2003

Clubnet was an ISP based in Tauranga, servicing the Bay of Plenty region. Orcon purchased this ISP customer base on 22 January 2003 from Johnny Kolk of Clubnet Limited.

ProHost

2001

ProHost Systems was a web-hosting and domain name registration company operated by Ian Johnson and Tom Smith of Prohost Systems Limited.

KiwiNET

2001

KiwiNET used to be operated by Quest Communications Limited, before going into liquidation. On short notice, Orcon took over the servicing of the customer base when the customers would not have otherwise been able to connect.

Hypernet

2001

Hypernet was previously operated by Hyper Networks Limited. They who sold the Hypernet assets to Orcon, which included their large customer base, their impressive branding and marketing materials, and some equipment.

Genesis [GIG]

2001

Genesis Internet Group [GIG] was an ISP that simply stopped trading and ceased to exist. Orcon took over the domain name gig.co.nz and has provided dialup and email services to the customers that remained
