Who is Orcon?

Orcon provides calling and internet services to both residential and business customers around New Zealand. We have two offices in Auckland, Northcote and Newmarket, with more than 200 Orcon evangelists led by Chief Executive Scott Bartlett.

leading the way with innovation, a 'can-do' attitude and customer service.

To prove just how committed we are to the cause, we were NZ’s first ISP to unbundle the local loop. So now our customers, in almost all of Auckland where we have installed our gear, as well as central Wellington, Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Chrsitchurch and Dunedin, can benefit from our new ADSL2+ network.

But we aren’t stopping there. We were the first to launch a mass-market VoIP plug and play service – which we called Orcon Genius. It puts phona calls over the internet – which is a smart (and cheaper) way of doing things.

And, most recently were the first to launch nationwide Ultra Fast Broadband services – getting Kiwis hooked up to fibre and sailing along on the government’s new $1.5bn network.

We would all like to write our own reviews, but who would believe us? That’s why we are so happy that other people also recognise that we think and act differently. Over the years we have won a stack of awards for our service, our innovation, and just for being us.

We can’t take all the credit though, as we are owned by Kordia.  Kordia is a major provider of television and radio broadcast facilities, and with a trans-Tasman focus, is fast-becoming one of the region's leading providers of customised broadcast and telecommunications networks, network services and converged solutions. So they are nearly as cool as us. Nearly....
