In April, we are opening another call centre.
The expansion will allow us to better handle the volume of calls generated by our recent growth.
Customer numbers have skyrocketed since we launched Genius last year, and while we have been hiring new call centre staff as quickly as we can, we need even more capacity.
So, we have engaged NZ technology company Datacom to assist us, scale up and open another call centre for us. This call centre will be based in the Philippines and will answer non-technical and general queries (such as accounts questions for example).
This enables the team based at our Northcote office to focus on technical queries and specialise in solving problems.
There will be no job losses through the opening of the new call centre. The move simply allows us to expand capacity. We will continue to hire in New Zealand as our business grows.
So what can you expect? In a nutshell, even better service from Orcon. We will have one call centre set up to focus on addressing your technical issues, and a second call centre dedicated to answering your account and general queries.
